Dr. John D. Bertrand has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology providing the best in women’s healthcare for more than 30 years. He has consistently been chosen by his peers as a D Magazine Best Doctor and Texas Monthly Super Doctor for each year the honors have been awarded. He has personally chaired more than a thousand scientific courses, lectures, proctorships and externships.
Dr. Bertrand has had the privilege of teaching many physicians the techniques of hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery, and procedures to correct pelvic organ prolapse (urogynecology). He serves as the director of the Advanced Gynecologic Surgical Fellowship at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. He holds staff appointments at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas and Parkland Memorial Hospital and UT Southwestern where he serves as a clinical professor.
A native of Waco, Texas, Dr. Bertrand and his wife Andrea, a Registered Nurse, are parents to 13 children: nine daughters and four sons. Dr. Bertrand enjoys spending time with his eleven grandchildren, watching football, cycling, skiing, and long walks on White Rock Lake with his family and dogs.
