Dr. Abaigeal Thompson

Dr. Abaigeal Thompson

Dr. Thompson grew up in College Station, Texas, and followed her love of learning and athletics to Cornell University, where she competed as a Division I gymnast, studied Nutritional Sciences, and earned recognition as an NCAA Scholar Athlete. Her lifelong passion for athletics and nutrition, naturally led to her dedication to women’s health. She returned to Texas for medical school at The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley, then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Hospital. Though her interest in women’s health began early, it was during her training that she truly fell in love with the field.

Dr. Thompson is passionate about caring for women in Dallas through every stage of life—from adolescence and pregnancy to the transition into menopause. With a background in athletics and nutrition, she understands the importance of looking at the bigger picture and helping patients optimize all aspects of their health so they can thrive in every season. She strives to ensure her patients feel truly heard and prioritized, while also making their healthcare experiences positive, empowering, and even enjoyable.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Thompson is an avid reader who enjoys trying new Dallas restaurants, cooking, traveling, taking a variety of fitness classes, and walking the Katy Trail with her fiancée and their rescue dog, Mia.

She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Thompson is currently welcoming new patients.
