Pregnancy is a beautiful time for many women, but even the most glowing mother can get a little stir-crazy after a while. You may search for things to do with or without kids, classes designed just for you while you are pregnant or family-friendly fun.
Getting out can be understandably difficult when you feel like a walking house. Even if you don’t have kids in school to entertain during the year, and you need to get out of the house–this list is for you.

Summer Pregnancy-Friendly Events
July 11 – The Empowered Mama Meet Up
This meet up will be from 10 a.m. to noon at Restoring Life Chiropractic, 3825 West Green Oaks Boulevard #100, Arlington, TX 76016.
Featuring Dr. Lauren Alvarado, the meet up will include Mama Mingle Time, healthy snack bar for mamas and kiddos, an essential oil DIY bar for mama’s emotional support, a panel of guest speakers and a Q&A with Dr. Lauren.
At RLC we have a tribe of mothers who are walking out everyday challenges but also big transitions in motherhood like fertility, pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding & postpartum. July 11 – The Biggest Baby Shower Ever
This event will be from 4:30 to 9 p.m. at Embassy Suites Frisco Hotel Convention Center & Spa, 7600 John Q Hammons Drive, Frisco, TX 75034.
This is one of the largest events for expecting and new parents! Learn about and demo all the latest baby products on the market and learn from the experts and other new parents about what to expect.

July 28 – The DFWomen EXPO 2019
This year’s expo will be held at 11 a.m. at Place at Tyler, 1300 South Polk Street #234, Dallas, TX 75224.
The DFWomen Expo is an annual event to support local women in business, entreprenuers and professionals sell, network and have a wonderful time. DFWomen Magazine also sponsors several booths to help local non-profits and help some women launch their business.
This year, Amy Ford is the keynote speaker. Amy Ford is the Co-Founder and President of Embrace Grace, a non-profit that inspires and equips the church to love on single and pregnant young women and their families.

Aug. 5 – Mesquite-Parenting Class Love & Logic
This class is at 6 p.m. at Elevate Healthcare – Mesquite, 2427 Baker Drive, Suite D, Mesquite, TX 75150.
The parenting class will be taught by a licensed clinician who is well versed in the issues of family trauma and daily challenges to create a functioning family unit. The curriculum we are focused on using has been used through the Department of Family and Protective Services as certification for completion of Parent Training Courses.

Aug. 13 – Mother’s Circle Breastfeeding Support Group
This support group is at 6 p.m. at Lake Granbury Medical Center, 1310 Paluxy Road, Medical Office Building 2 / 2nd Floor Conference Room, Granbury, TX 76048.
New and expectant mothers are invited to join Mother’s Circle, our breastfeeding support group. The free support group offers helpful approaches to breastfeeding and support from local breastfeeding moms.
Sept. 7 – Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training
This training will be Sept. 7 and 8 at Yoga Chikitsa, 328 West Campbell Road, Richardson, TX 75080.
In this 12-hour workshop, we will use the 7 chakras as a guide to explore the world of Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. Participants will gain confidence in modifying and teaching asana for pre/postnatal students in a regular class, as well as being able to step in and sub a pre/postnatal class if needed.
This workshop will be largely educational/lecture based with ample take-home information/handouts, and we will also be doing a great deal of asana to embody this practice. Click here to register.
Sept. 7 – Champion Parenting Anger Management
This class will be held from 8:30 to 3:30 p.m. at TYRO Champion Center, 8500 N. Stemmons FreewaySuite 1050, Dallas, TX 75247.
Champion Parent is designed to teach skills that foster healthy parent-child interactions. It gives parents support on how to have stronger relationships with their spouses so that together they can better manage their children. July 13 – Little Farmers: Meet the Chickens
Meet the Chickens will be held 11 a.m. to noon at the Dallas Farmers Market, 920 S Harwood St., Dallas, TX 75201.
Meet the quirky chickens of the Dallas Farmers Market and learn all about them at Mama Ida’s Teaching Garden at 11 a.m.
July 14 – Sunday Funday at Panther Pavilion
Sunday Funday will be held from noon to 6 p.m. at the Panther Island Pavilion at 395 Purcey St., Fort Worth, TX.
This is a day of relaxation and fun in the sun at Panther Island Pavilion. This family-friendly and laid-back event takes place every Sunday from June 30 through Sep. 1. Tubes and pedal boats are available to rent along with kayaks, stand up paddle boards and canoes from Backwoods Paddle sports. July 20 – MOONIVERSARY: 50 Years Since Apollo 11
The Mooniversary will be hosted by the University of Texas Arlington Planetarium, 700 Planetarium Place, Arlington, TX 76019.
“Mooniversary,” an all-day event hosted both inside and outside the planetarium. It will have four regular shows in the planetarium, these include both a live star talk, as well as a show. Additionally, the planetarium hosts three mini-shows including “The Missions of Apollo” (a custom show covering the missions up to Apollo 12), “Moon Myths and Misconceptions” (also a custom show surrounding fun myths about the Moon), and an Apollo Trivia game in the dome. Aug. 11 – The Wiggles
The Wiggles will perform at the Dallas Theatre. Aug. 16 – Toddler Art Dinner Party
The Toddler Art Dinner Party will be at 11 a.m. at the Dallas Museum of Art, 1717 N. Harwood Street, Dallas.
The art class is for children between the ages of two and three, accompanied by a favorite grown-up. Aug. 31 – Sacred Children Inc First Annual Carnival
The carnival will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Friendship-West Baptist Church, 2020 West Wheatland Road, Dallas, TX 75232.
This is a fundraiser for a nonprofit organization for children transitioning from foster care to adulthood. Children will have the opportunity to have pony rides, face painting/balloons, mini bumper cars, train rides, take a picture with different characters, live musical guest artist Quan Quan and so much more. Sept. 7 – Family Zoo Adventures: Primate STEM
This event will be at 10 a.m. on Sept. 7 at the Dallas Zoo.
Families can explore the wonderful world of wildlife together during the Family Zoo Adventure Programs! Each monthly session will focus on a different theme and include activity stations, animal encounters, and special zoo tours that will make learning fun for young and old alike. Sept. 14 – Family Workshop: Royal Raffia
This family workshop will be held at the Dallas Museum of Art, 1717 N. Harwood Street, Dallas, TX,
This event is for children ages 6-12 accompanied by an adult. Explore the galleries, engage in artful conversations, and try hands-on games as a family, then create a work of art in the studio.

Sept. 20 – The Plano Balloon Festival
The festival is set for 4 p.m. at Oak Park Point and Nature Preserve in Plano.
The weekend features entertainment on the FOX 4 community stage and KLUV main stage, a firework show, kid’s activities, sky divers, as well as food, merchandise and handmade products for purchase.
The hot air balloons will launch Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., and Sunday at 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. (weather permitting).
This event is family friendly and kids will enjoy inflatable rides in the Central Market Kids Fun Zone. Race through the obstacle courses, zip down the huge slides, ride the pirate ship or the berry-go-round. A “Toddler Zone” features inflatables that are just their size. Sept. 21 – BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Play & Party
This event will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Dallas Children’s Theater.
This will be a celebration for the ages as young gents and belles get to meet and interact with charming Disney characters Belle, Beast, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Chip, Mrs. Potts, and others.
