Dr. Lauren Murray joined Walnut Hill Ob Gyn in the summer of 2014. Prior to that she completed a fellowship in advanced gynecology pelvic surgery at THR Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas. She completed her residency at Parkland Memorial where she also served as Chief Resident.
As an OBGYN, she has the opportunity to provide primary care as well as specialized obstetrical and gynecologic services for a well-rounded care approach with the same trusted physician. She loves the physician/patient relationship that is formed in the Ob/Gyn practice, and there is simply nothing better than being present when a baby enters the world.
She has a special interest in minimally invasive pelvic surgery techniques including laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and robotic surgery as well as high risk obstetric care. During her pelvic surgery fellowship she also received advanced surgical training in the correction of pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence.
Dr. Murray was born and raised in Dallas and was in fact born at Presbyterian Hospital where she practices today. She attended Highland Park High School. Before she decided that medicine was her calling, she worked as a science and Algebra teacher at West Dallas Community School, a private, inner-city, Christian school.
In her free time, she likes to exercise outdoors with her yellow lab, Belle. She also enjoys traveling, movies, and Jane Austen literature.
