Jessica Frankfurt rejoins our practice as our first board-certified Doctor of Nurse Practice (DNP) Nurse Midwife. Jessica is licensed by the State of Texas to provide Women’s Health Care throughout their lifespan, including well women exams, common primary care issues, gynecologic needs, family planning and preconception counseling, pregnancy, and low-risk child birth. Jessica received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia and her Doctor of Nursing Practice, specializing in Midwifery, from Baylor University, where she graduated valedictorian of her class and was a recipient of the Baylor Health Care System Endowed Scholarship for three years. Prior to her graduate program, Jessica was a nurse for 2 years at Walnut Hill Ob/Gyn Associates. During her DNP program, Jessica trained at Parkland, UT Southwestern, and THR Presbyterian Hospital.
Jessica is excited to build a trusting partnership with women through her full-scope Midwifery practice, that empowers women through medically sound, shared-decision making. As a Nurse Midwife, Jessica provides obstetric and gynecologic care to her patients and delivers all low-risk obstetric patients, with or without epidural anesthesia at Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Jessica is also certified as a “First Assist” to assist with surgery, including cesarean section birth.
Born (at Presbyterian Hospital) and raised in Dallas, Texas, Jessica currently lives with her husband, Angus MacDonald, and their two German Shepherds, Indy and Macho. When she is not with patients she enjoys an active lifestyle, traveling, and spending time with her family. She also loves spending time with horses and cattle at their ranch in Oklahoma.
