Our physicians, physician assistant, nurse practitioners, nursing team, front office and business staff are all dedicated to addressing your total wellness needs. Our patient flow, office space, communications and response times are all designed to provide a supportive environment that we hope will meet your needs both physically and emotionally.
Our History & Experience
Our medical practice has cared for women in North Texas since 1970 and was founded by the now retired Chairman of Ob/Gyn at Texas Health Resources Presbyterian, Dr. David Bookout, and his longtime partner, the late Dr. B. Henry Estess. Doctor John Bertrand joined the group in 1979 and Dr. Jeff Thurston soon after in 1986. Since then we have welcomed partners Dr. Jane Nokleberg, Dr. Julie Hagood, Dr. Lauren Murray , Dr. Sooyeon Choi and most recently Dr. Lauren Battley & Dr. Sarah Brewer. Our Physician Assistant, Rebecca Hardesty, and Nurse Practitioners, Katie Neely and Ashley Hancock have expanded our clinical capacity on a daily basis and added a new dimension to our delivery of care.
Together these physicians represent over 150 years of clinical and teaching experience. Serving as clinical staff for UTSW for many years, all have helped to train the medical students and residents who will be the leaders in our field for years to come. Each physician at Walnut Hill specializes in services ranging from routine gynecologic care to diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to abnormal pap smears, osteoporosis, all manner of menstrual and ovulatory issues, pelvic pain, masses, ovarian cysts, tumors, endometriosis and every level of complexity related to obstetric care. All manner of women’s health issues may be addressed, including complete infertility services using a mind-body approach. Each of our physicians is trained in open major surgical techniques as well as minimally invasive and even robotic approaches, to all gynecologic problems.
Our Locations
We have two locations to serve you: 8305 Walnut Hill Lane, suites 100 & 200, in Woodhill Medical Park directly across from the main entrance to Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, (Drs. Bertrand, Thurston, Choi & Battley in suite 100 and Drs. Nokleberg, Hagood & Katie Neely in suite 200) and 8160 Walnut Hill Lane, suite 212, (Dr. Murray & Brewer, & Ashley Hancock) in the Margot Perot Women’s and Children’s Center, in the hospital itself.
